Juddering and rough running on cold start

Hi all, i know there is a thread going about juddering, but i think this is differant.

So the juddering has now come back again when on petrol, runs fine on LPG though.

And the engine light has come on too, so plugged it in and its saying its an p0202 injector malfunction on cylinder 2
and also a p0302, a cylinder misfire detected

Back to the garage then tomorrow quoted £198 inc materials, labour and VAT

Do I just a new injector?? Or can I flush it mabee? Or run a tank of bp ultimate petrol through it??

Also just to add its only really when cold tht it's the biggest issue, and the warning light has now gone off and driving fine again. It seems to be intermittent

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smile thanking you! Thumbs Up Bow down

Please can someone shed some light on this for me Sad having abit of a stress!

So the intermittent fault now seems more perminant, I know I have two fault codes, one of which is is an injector malfunction and the other is a cylinder misfire on the same injector

It only seems to do it on petrol, so I'm guessing that it's a new injector? Is this an easy enough job for me to do myself?
Or is ther anything else I can check?

But iv just been out in it (20min journey) and it misfired all the way, and also it would change to LPG, I'm guessing it won't change over if ther is a current fault??

I now also have a misfire on cylinder 6 and 7 aswell, but they are pending faults in the last driving cycle, not stored faults?

Please can someone give me a little info? Or help on what I need to check or look at?

Cheers Bow down

Surely if the coil pack was faulty then if would be an issue on LPG aswell?

I assume any wiring in the engine shouldn't be twisted together? Lol
I might start with connections then Censored

not an expert on this, but i'm pretty sure you can swap the coil packs around and see if the fault moves with the pack or stays with the cylinder.....

bit of a long shot i know 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Looks like there are a few wires there that have been tampered with and joined together with black tape Big Cry

@47p2

I'm assuming it's where thy have tapped into the injector feed to get the sequence for the LPG injectors?

Which could very much be why I'm getting an injector fault if the wiring looks like this! Big Cry PITA!

I'm guessing I should do a full battery disconnection before reterminating any of the wiring?

If the problem is only on petrol and not on LPG it is most likely the petrol fuel system. With the injector malfunction flaring up, I would say to start with the fuel injectors and not the coil packs.

First run it with injector cleaner for a bit and see if that clears it.

Also if you know which injector is the culprit, remove it, clean it thoroughly and put it back. Have a look inside as well when you have removed it to see if there is anything the fuel line that could cause an issue.

Also clean and check the electrical connector to the injector ! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

The coil packs were a bit of a long shot, but can also show intermittent failure..........so if you've tried everything else.......

I am sure there are places that can check your injectors, and even clean them, though poss a good dose of injector cleaner may help. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
