Air compressor which one to buy?? Confused!!

I have a 2004 4.4 V8 LPG. Replaced a air spring. A week later Air suspension Inactive' came back, we plugged it in to a snap on computer and we think the compressor is tired. We cleared the fault and it is working again(for now) So i plan to replace the compressor. All of the compressors I see on ebay for a 2002-2006 range rover are black and round. Well my compressor has been moved because of the gas conversion, to the driver side compartment and it looks nothing like the ones on ebay? My current compressor is a Land Rover/ WABCO one.
Mine is a bare compressor which looks more like a later type one? Is it? Do they change them when they put a gas conversion on? If I knew how to upload pics I would

Can anyone help?
Thank You Oli[/img]

your compressor has been taken out of its accoustic shell , as there isnt room for it if you have a tank in the spare wheel well , why dont you try fitting a new compressor piston seal like i did , mine was working ok but after fitting a new piston seal it only runs for a very short period of time and is quieter than before,
this has made the compressor build up air far quicker so it doesnt get overworked, over time the seal is bound to wear out so before it starts wearing the piston and cylinder wall away it makes sence to change it ,
here is a link to the one i fitted, the audi/porsche and bmw seal is the same pump as the range rover

They will work. Your has just had the acoustic cover removed to make it smaller to relocate. Have a look in the wiki there's some work about stripping g ind giving it some extra life. For the money you should get the kit from Meerbusch. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Has anyone done a compressor repair kit before? Do they work? Is it worth it? If so which one to do, I see you can buy a piston seal kit for about £35 or either a complete spring, seal and filter kit for £140 approx.

When spending over £140 i feel you are half way to a brand new compressor so you may be better to have a new compressor.

Thank you

115 GBP incl. shipping is different to 140 GBP .... ??? Had buy one aftermarket compressor for 295 GBP + shipping, but there is a sensor, which opens at 10 bar??????? Wish the buyers a lot of fun at the official dealership for modifying the ECU... L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

So if I buy a £300 Wabco compressor, once fitted do I need to modify the ECU? Wont it just plug in and work?

The valves are only correct on the original WABCO parts at Landrover, the offers about 320GBP are good price, if they are original the same number like your original. Here in germany they cost round 600 Euro original. Ragards, Uli L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021
