South Africa 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
which one should i choose

what would you do - i currently have disco3 (LR3) which i'm thinking of swopping for either a 2007 Range rover sport or 2007 range rover - preferably the tdv8 - however in South Africa the tdv8 is scarcer than the supercharged and also a bit more expensive with higher odometer (mileage) readings.

Questions:

1. should i go for range rover or range rover sport - btw i already has a 2004 range rover v8 (l322) hse which i will keep doesnt matter which 1 of the 2 i decide on

2. what would be best to keep for 5 years - supercharged or tdv8. i know the tdv8 is more fuel efficient, which lead the following question:

3. how big is the difference in fuel consumption between the 2

4. which of the s/c or tdv8 is more reliable after 150,000kms or 95000miles

5. i like the comfort items that comes with the 2007 l322, but then we have 2 of the "same" vehicles which is maybe not a bad thing; however it would always be nice to from time to time climb into some thing that is different to the daily drive.

Since you already have a L322 I would say go for the Sport to give you a change as they are both good vehicles

Have seen more women drive a FF than I have driving a Sport , and have yet to meet a drug dealer who drives a Sport too as all the Sport owners I know are Owners of their own companies Rolling Eyes

Drug companies? Whistle

Just my opinion, but I see little sense in an SC. Fuel consumption difference is close to 50% more if you drive the SC as intended and if your diesel prices are as here in Europe, you pay 20%l ess as well (=more beer money). And if you have a TDV8 chipped, it is downright quick. My RR's are my travel/family/off road cars. For going fast I have a Porsche. Uses less fuel than the SC and goes faster. In total that makes me faster and 'greener' than SC drivers.

As you already have a D3 i wouldnt bother with the sport, same bits with a different shell ontop!!

Get a TDV8 and possibly think about importing one from another country. They drive on the right in some parts of SA still dont they??

Surely if the premium is that high you could buy a good one from someone like Gaz and enjoy a long drive back or container it? 8000miles wouldnt take too long and would be a nice adventure to break it in Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
