Don't be silly, they have faults specific to the FFRR and with the FFRR price tag Big Cry

I,ve just traded up too. I'm not going to tempt fate though, but all I'll say is to compare the amount of posts on the D3 site to this one. I think that will go some way to answering your question.

Thanks Martin I was unaware of that info.

However, I've just done a quick calculation with the Tech and the Maintenance / Mods post figures.

D3 76,501 Techy posts, 95,133 M&M posts. Equals 171,634 divide by 8yrs equals 21,454 per year.

FFRR 23366 Techy posts, 20158 M&M posts. Equals 43524 divide by 5.5yrs equals 7914 per year.

I've always felt this forum was not so active as the D3 one, but there could be many other reasons.

I was fortunate in having a trouble free D3 for five years.

There a probably a lot more discos on the road than FFRR's so I would factor that in as well. Previously..

Struggling to find production data for the two makes, but from what I have seen a ratio of 2 D3's to every 1 FFRR, so based upon posts, FFRR still more reliable ? .

Wanted a ffrr before i got my disco but gearbox problems made me afraid of rr. d3 cost me a fortune to get EPB working, good old normal hand brake on ffrr, suspension arms on d3 250 per corner, less than 100 for rr and changed in about half an hour. if your engine fks up on rr i would quite hapilly remove it, whereas d3 is a body of shot, not quite diy friendly.turbo a Censored to do on d3 as well. changing injectors on td6 40 mins to get all 6 out,and 100 each recon. trying doing that with your d3
