To be honest i think its shameful that some companies charge and require notification that you have made your car safer Sad

Good that the ABI is naming and shaming them though, and i wonder if a petition would help force the others hands??

Im safe with my current insurer though but likely wont be fitting any anyway Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Wow - surprising number of companies wish to be informed, even though there is no change to premiums.

I hope that really means no charge - when I picked up some speeding points, my insurer told me it didn't affect my premium, but then charged me £15 to change the details of my policy Rolling Eyes

I've never heard of any insurance issues if the same size and rating tyres are fitted. The original scare story a few years ago was where people had fitted narrower winter tyres, outside of the standard spec for their vehicle.

What if you simply buy a used car and haven't a clue what tyres are fitted. Very Happy
And who calls their insurance everytime you have new tyres fitted..
