2010 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Alaska White
Suspension 'locked' in extended mode

car decided to raise itself into extended mode and now can't be lowered. the display has two front sensors in red below the image of the wheel & evey toime try to activate the suspension knob error massage on the dash stated SUSPENSION FAULT

Is thare any way of releasing the pressure or lowering ?

A dealership would be the best way as its still under warranty and you may be able to call LRA out to fix it with their test books. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

Ahh just confused me as the profile you have has a 2010 on it Smile

best thing then maybe is a local Diag place or some kind member with EAS module or IID and seeing if another VIN could be added for a small charge Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I think it's an ECU / sensor or compressor problem.

It's not in accidental lock, it just raised itself and want go down - when try to lower orange light goes off and suspension fault error. Will try some diagnostics.

The 2010 car is my wife's bus!

I think that's the biggest issue that needs sorting first!!


Seriously if the battery method doesn't wor then a diagnostic will be needed. Also check the sensors maybe give then a light wash and spray on some lithium grease Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

looks like a pressure releif valve is not venting when command is sent & front o/s sensor is intermittent, there didn't seem to be anything on wiki on checking/changing - anyone have any guidance on do's/dont's before I get in about at the weekend?

Where in the country are you mate? 2 reasons for that question, 1 is in case you need any help have All-Comms diag here so may get different results you never know, also if you are in a particularly cold area I just wondered did this happen on a nice cold frosty morning recently and also was it raising from standard or access?
The pressure switch (ANR3902) is know to occasionaly stick, producing a false diagnosis of "inlet solenoid valve sticking" Landrover themselves never figured this out for years as there was never any stored fault in the ECU and suspension diagnosis would come back fine, so what did they do they advised new compressors which cured it for a while until it happened again and then they put out a recall on pressure switch only to find out later it was as I said above. Anyway the actual work around once youve sorted it is to have the ECU software updated which allows faultless working at lower tempreatures.
