Frozen door locks

Hi Guys, seasons greeting to you all... occasionally during the recent cold snap, when I unlock the range in a morning, around 6.00am, the doors wont close as the lock appears to be frozen........ If I drive for 5 mins holding the door closed with my hand, it eventually unlocks and I can close the door..... Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a quick fix...... ? I tried anti freeze spray but that made no difference...... 4.4 V8 Vogue Adriatic - Cream leather

same thing has been happening to me latelly..

it was -9 here last night when i took the wife to her night-shift,, had to put the kettle over the door so i could get in, then prise the lock back to the correct position so that the door would latch and stay shut.

so today, i went round all the door locks, handles and seals with silicon spray.

time will tell if has done any good. i'll let you know over the next few days.

cheers scotty

Just to let anyone know suffering from a similar problem.... I seem to have sorted it out by squirting a good amount of WD40 into the door handles from the outside and into the lock inside the doors.... fingers crossed this will cure the problem.. 4.4 V8 Vogue Adriatic - Cream leather
