Got in car this am about -5 degrees, started car up and then pressed PROG button to clear ice off front and back windows. after about 2 mins when cleared i drove off and switched steering and seat heaters on. Realised after a few mins that there was no heating from steering or seats. Drove about 2 miles, still nothing. As screen was now cleared i switched off PROG button and both screen heaters, immediately steering started to heat up followed by seats. As any body else noticed this. the only thing i can think is that the vehicle was sensing a low battery and was giving priority to the screens and not my hands or SWMBO,s a--e!! Seems to make sense that it worked this way but can't say i've witnessed it, but thats cos my car always sits in an open garage so don't use the Prog button as it never gets icy windscreens.
