Heated windscreen issue.

Good morning all.

I own a 2002 L322 4.4 V8.

Now that the colder weather has arrived I have had to use the heated windscreen a couple of times recently. However, it only seems to heat up about 25-30% of the windscreen (in patchy straight lines from bottom to top).

Is there a quick fix for this ?

Yes - Hammer to the glass then call Auto-Glass for a new windscreen.

Sounds like the heating element has broken.

Ring your insurance and tell them you switched it on this morning when cold and there was a cracking noise
And now the window heater doesn't work, they will pass you on to the window company who will charge you about £65-70

Not affecting your no claims.

Don't break the glass as it will make a mess and its easier for the window guy to take out in one

I did this last winter when part of the drivers side wasn't working but passenger was fully working Thumbs Up RANGE ROVER 04 TD6
