Will soon be bankrupt, thanks Costco!

Its great news but also bad.

Costco's latest branch is Leicester (Actually its Thurmaston, on the old Walkers Crisps site)

So, this is great, I don't have to drive to Derby or Milton Keynes, it's only ten minutes away. I'll need more will power Big Cry Discovery 4 HSE

I know the feeling.

You can't leave Costco without spending £100s on crap you had no intention of buying.

My wife has now limited me to only 1 trip a quarter! Embarassed

We go quarterly and usually spend between 3 and 5 hundred quid. But living in the country this saves a bleedin' fortune going to supermarkets which are twice the price fro half the quality.

We just fill up the freezers (all 3 of 'em) and use our local farm shop for greens. Aside from milk, which we buy once a month from the supermarket (cravendale so it keeps fresh longer) we rarely go to any other shops.

To put it anopther way, nearest Tesco is 11 miles away, so 6 quid in diesel just going there and back. And for what? Grade 2 or 3 fruit & veg, overpriced second rate roasting joints which are more chewy than an old tyre, and a hateful approach to customer service.

Whereas, on the other hand, at Costco I get grade 1 fruit & veg, restaurant grade meat, very competitive prices and I only have to go through the fekkin chore of doing it all once a quarter.

Might try Thurmaston as well. Not that far from me. Smile

used to get veg oil when it was much cheaper and would take the max allowed but its not good for a TD6 Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Around £400 a trip minimum for us as well.

Meat, as said, is excellent. The booze isn't much of a deal but things like Terry cloths for car cleaning, baby wipes (bathroom stuff generally, food....

Oh, and veg oil for my 300Tdi 110. 20 litres in the tank every fill-up other than the coldest of Winter days. Si. <This is my name.
