Spot lamps

I have a set of Range Rover spots, can I wire these straight into headlamps or will they have to have seperate loom and relay? L322 model. Many thanks.

You will need to have the spotlights wired thro a relay. 30A relay recommended.
No need for a loom. The easiest way to wire them is to take a 20A fused supply from the front fuseboard or even the battery +ve terminal if you use an in-line fuse, connect to the contacts of the relay and then away from the relay to the spotlights wired in parallel. An earth cable will be required from each spotlight connected to a suitable body earth point.
The coil of the relay should be switched by taking a connection from the headlight main beam wire behind one of the headlights and running a wire to the relay terminal, the other coil terminal should be connected to an earth point.
Wiring this way will mean than whenever you select headlight main beam the spotlights will light.
Buy a good quality relay, Hella or similar, it has a lot of work to do.
Also use 20A rated cable to avoid voltage drop.
Also run wiring in 9mm convoluted cable sheathing, it looks more profesional and is cheap.
