I am a long way from our exchange and all the routers you get with BT, sky talk talk etc were c*ap. Had to get my own, and its much faster as you can easily tweek the SNR to give you the best speed, without having to resort to semi-complicated methods.

Still only get around 3mbps though.

I have my sky box on an ethernet cable into a powerline adaptor, works fine, and can put it anywhere in the house. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I phoned sky last week to say I was cancelling. Ended up getting another free sky+hd box, £10.25 off a month for the next year, sky movies free for 6 months and a free wifi doobry. The guy even gave me a free dish and LNB for my Mancave!!
