door mirrors not folding in

have a strange problem on my 2004 range rover with memory seats and steering wheel. when pressing the button to fold the mirrors, the driver side folds in but goes back to its original position immediately whilst the passenger side does not make a move. Can also not set the passenger side via the buttons - have to do it manually - seems like theres no power on the mirror. Also the passenger side mirror does not dip when reversing

how can i check it to see if theres power on the mirror and if no power what parts should i replace.

[]

thanks stan

did follow the instructions; however it seems theres no power on the mirror - previous owner mentioned that the passenger door did not want to lock and he had someone repairing that - apparently since then the passenger side mirror did not work. Big Cry

is there anyone here who could advise what i should look at next - its a shame to have this feature on the vehicle and not being able to use it

Hi

The mirror power and controls also memory is
All in one unit which is also the switch pack

Remove door card and check the two plugs in the
Switch pack

May not have been put back in.

If one mirror doesn't fold the other will not,

Both have work together for them to fold. RANGE ROVER 04 TD6

I had this problem with mine too. I had a crack in the mirror glass
when i replaced the glass nothing happened.
As JR said I removed the switch pack from the door by removing the door card. Not a difficult job and the mirror control and electric window control is in one unit combining the window switch.
I opened up the control to find nothing obvious, I expected a burnt track or popped transistor but found nothing.
I resigned myself to the thought of buying a new one and put the control and door back together an Censored me the damn thing worked!!
anyway, when I bought my hawkeye months later and plugged it in it came up with a load of faults like 'left mirror canbus error' and 'heated mirror short circuit'
so I guess when the ecu detects a fault it just locks out so might be worth either doing the same and unplugging the controller to reset it or if you know someone with a diagnostic getting that plugged in
