Not happy, I have "Trans Fail safe" on dash so at the garage.
Only had gearbox replaced last year :'(

Well I've had to leave it at garage. They reckon the 4th/5th valve/solenoid is the problem.

What model have you got ? Td6 or petrol and who have you used for the gearbox work onto no6 Range Rover

It's a 2002 TD6.

I love the car, but I'll have spent a third of the purchase price on autobox repairs alone... It's getting to much.
Please someone tell me the later model Range Rover autobox's are more robust.

If you can get a rebuilt box with the Sonnax valve body upgrade, you will not have to worry about the box failing again........at least not due to the softer aluminium in the valve solenoid bores.

Cheapest I found was about £1500 + VAT supply only for the gearbox. Sonnax upgraded valve body and oil pump fitted...........
