United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Buckingham Blue
A few jobs

As said in the intro section i have just aquired a 53 plate vogue 4.4 and have a few cosmetic jobs to get back to perfect,
I'm sure the search results would show up the answers i'm looking for but it's good to talk so heres what i need to do. Any helpful suggestions/links /etc appreciated -

Car has standard wheelnuts that are rusting (runs on std 19s) - who offers replacement studs/bolts at sensible money?

some of the black matt finish on the steering wheel is peeling off and showing gloss?

one or two paint chips on the silver grey of centre console? what to do?

descent switch has snapped off - needs replacing - how, where and how much ?

need operating handbooks etc. has service history.

Rob

wheel nuts try ebay or get a plater to galv then just spray black

steering wheel a chap sells replacement covers but you need to remove the air bag Sad

centre console you have to buy complete with the switches so no probs

I think the silver grey in the centre console is also the Brunel colour.

This colour is used in many areas of the car. Recently I enquired about this paint but the dealers don't sell it and no one makes it. You might be able to get a local paint shop to mix something for you but....

The coating on the steering wheel is not something you can fix, might have to get a replacement.

Regarding the other things I always look on eBay first, the mecca of second hand bits. Discovery 4 HSE

Cheers guys - previous colormatching experiencing on an F360 doorcard/console was a nightmare and never right, so if a new console is deffo required for the switch anyhow then thats the most obvious route i guess. any idea on part number and cost?

The trim on the steering wheel spokes that is slowly turning gloss is available as a kit, part number QTJ500010.

Not expensive to purchase, but you'll have to remove the airbag from the wheel to fit them and be in possession of a set of torx screwdrivers.

Aside from Ebay sellers, one of the first hits on Google shows: http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php?xProd=102457&xSec=5497 Not sure you should be reading this bit.

I stand corrected totally, I had no idea these bits could be replaced. That's excellent! Discovery 4 HSE
