There's a post from a guy who is on a mission to deliver the L405 to Iceland for the Top Gear team.

I'm beginning to warm to it, even the gills dont look too bad now.

still think the headlights and rear quarter are horrendous though...

I wouldn't turn one down but I'm still of the feeling that despite these being the new model they look like they've been around for longer. Maybe because the rear lights look familiar, in fact the whole vehicle looks familiar.

Definitely lost some of its aggressive look, doesn't seem unique I know that's a daft thing to say as FFRR are quite common (as in there are a lot of them). Maybe because I've only seen pictures?

I really liked it.
But I think I need to see it in the metal, because the more I see the more I am starting to go off the idea.

From my perspective it looks fine and it's an improvement on the existing model.

It has to attract younger buyers while not alienating too much the existing customer base.

Just look at all the threads on people saying their dealer has or is about to sell out their allotment of L405s. I think it will be a major seller, the iPhone 5 of JLR. Good for the less wealthy amongst us, as we can buy the second hand ones quite easily in a few years time (I hope Smile).

So to all the wealthy people out there, please buy plenty of Autobiography TDV and SDVs. I prefer mine to be Santorini black with the Ivory interior and Grand Lacquer Black plus all the options Whistle PLEASE !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I reckon LR for the first 12months will possibly do a mini and control used stock massively worldwide to keep prices up.

Good news in that the last l322 prices will keep up a fair bit as well where as older ones may dip a little more.

I still hate the f'in gills and wish they had a delete option for them as i think some would go for it.

They serve no purpose other than to break up the side on look a little. I prefer it unbroken from the a pillar back as much as possible.

I reckon a good 40mpg if not more could be achieved with it. If i cant get 60+ out of a D4 for a god 10-25 miles before getting bored the engines have definitely got an economy mode built in for cruising Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
