Ok, so the car has just done 1200 mile round trip pretty much faultlessly to and from Normandy via chunnel.

The only problem we had was after sitting in a queue for about 1 hour, the steering seemed to develop a creaking noise when turning right when stationary.

Thought it might be the top mounts? Bit the noise went away when we got moving and has not returned despite much stationary wheel twirling since.

Anyone else had similar? Not too concerned as its dissappeared but just wondering if heat accumulation could cause this. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Check the steering fluid level, easy to do and worked for me (although my noise was only at startup, not after having run for a bit)

Mine was RHS lower ball joint

Not the pas, less of a pump noise, will get them to check the ball joints when it goes in for a service in the next few weeks. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
