That's impressive. Especially if you did it with a DA. I use a Makita rotary and even with that I end up thinking I drive a London Bus 'cos it all takes so long.

You'll not go wrong with Polished Bliss either. I have always used them for my products, ever since Rich (owner) spent an hour on the phone with me when I was a complete beginner. Advice a-plenty, and good advice at that.

Mind me asking which compounds you used?

Dom.

Mr Tee, now get busy with the polish to seal it all back up! Shocked Rolling Eyes If you dont give it a few good coats to protect it she'll be very dull again soon... Evil or Very Mad Embarassed

I have a real good guy that charges around £300 to detail a car inside and out! Not alot when you break down the hours spent and the costs of the products...

Craig Thumbs Up

Craig, only did one coat of polish as the wife & wee one were needing collected from the MIL's, plus the wife was nagging as i'd spent all weekend "fannying about with the car", her exact words by the way. If the weather clears for the weekend another couple of coats will be had, it's the easiest buffing polish I've ever used! Suppose you get what you pay for! Although I did get over excited and put it on a wee bit too thick on the first few panels, lesson is , follow the instructions.Must admit it's the first polish i have used that came with a pretty serious health warning including a COSHH sheet. Shocked

Mzplcg : Compounds : Menzerna Power Finish & Super finish. I started with the super finish as recommended , but it couldn't cut through the swirls, I started with the bonnet because it needs a respray anyway so if I ended up making a balls of it, no great loss!

Wow, just makes me itching to get in about my Range Rover. I've been properly taught to burnish resprayed cars & am well aware of the pitfalls so hopefully all will go well. Very Happy The reason women's minds are cleaner than a mans mind is that women change their minds more often!

If you've done burnishing then it should be easy enough to transfer those skills to detailing.

An afternoon, maybe get a couple of panels done! Mr. Green highly recommend polished bliss, start with the less aggressive compound/pads, then see how you get on.mines looks nothing like that now, gagging for a wash!been raining here for days now!
