No picture on touchscreen with DVD player

Tonight I was playing with the Faultmate in the FFRR and I switched the DVD system on so I could watch Big Bang Theory while waiting on the data going back and forth. Now the picture on the headrest screens was fine but on the frontscreen absolutely zilch. The sound was coming out of the speakers, the controls worked but not a sausage on the screen. The car was parked, gear selector in P with the engine running.

Anyone any idea what is going on ?? I have trawled the forum but nothing seems to describe this particular issue. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I had similar when I was installing my freeview. I unplugged the dvd and a few other leads which run the rear screens, plugged them back and it all come back to life.

Might be worth a check, only takes a few minutes. Reformed

Handbrake was on at the time.

Will do the plugging thing, maybe the resets with the Faultmate had an effect on the movie. Everything else on the screen was working fine, just no picture from the DVD.

Will keep you posted Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The manual says that it is only for the American market (bloody poofs) so now I need to find the setting with Faultmate that makes it believe is not in the American market. Does anyone know ? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hi Stan, I have tried both DRL settings (Canadian and Scandinavian) in the Instrumentation menu. Won't work but tonight I was trawling (offline) through the ZCS configuration menu and I saw another DRL enable/disable setting there. So I am going to try and fiddle with the menu next. Also all the menus that I can set ROW (Rest of World) or Europe in, I will do, hoping that that will do the trick.

I wish I could find a detailed description (manual) of all the settings, how their logic works etc. I bet that the dealer techs have those books because the descriptions in the menus are too limited to do the trick. Does anyone have an idea where I can potentially get such a manual. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hi Stan, I have been trawling their forum to see if anyone else had the problem, sofar nothing. So next thing is putting the question out there. BBS don't help with working with their units as they don't have experience working with their systems but I am hoping that someone else can help who had this or a similar problem before. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

On this one, following two replies on my question on the BBS forum, it seems that the NAS models don't have the wire that takes the picture from the rear mounted DVD changer to the front screen !!! Does anyone have an idea what cable that is and where I can buy one ?????? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

When I used my rovacom light to turn on the DLR setting I lost the display on the front screen, the only way I could restore it was by disconecting the battery. This is on 2005 supercharged autobiography.
