Do you find the 29" wheels make much difference other than pricier tires and tubes??

I've got a Trek Remedy that's been all over the country. Not put it in the FFRR yet though, too scared! Done a lot of trail centres and also Snowdon and even Ben Nevis on it. Not a fan of 29ers anywhere other than a Red trail at a purpose built trail center. I find the extra momentum of the wheels a bit un-nerving when things get twitchy or airborne. They do roll over rocks rather easily though. |

I've got a independent fabrication TI deluxe and a Yeti ASR5. Either fitted in the back of my old X5 but now I have ivory leather and a much plusher cabin the bike rack will be getting more use. |
