Remove the handset from the receptacle and underneath there's a slot to insert a credit card sized sim card holder.

The photo is of a 2003 BMW based Range Rover, as per the OP's post. I'd suggest if your phone system is different you have a later car. Not sure you should be reading this bit. |

Had the same phone in my BMW M5, its very old school these days and the handset is awful.
