Those engine's can't be bought easily either. A chap I know has been trying to source one for his 740 BMW for 3 months now. The breakers want 2 - 2.5 grand for something with a 7 day guarantee.

Assume another 1.5K for a garage to fit a S/H unit and it's a tad on the expensive side as a car. Send that to the auctions and it'd make 500 quid max. Being realistic it's a breaker, not a fixer-upper.

I bet if you hunted around you could get one or for that price get a refurbed engine from somewhere.

Fitting shouldn't be that much if the engine is already out FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.
