2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Giverny Green
fluid everywhere

hi all just on my way down to silverstone dropped in at woodall services smoke billowing from under the car gearbox oil leaking on the floor transmission overheat came then disapeared wouldnt give me 5th gear then down to just 1,2,3,then all bak to normal now sat waiting for the recovery truck to have it taken to a garage anyone got any ideas what it could be?aa man thinks its leaking from the torque convertor,
any help appreciated whilst im waiting for the recovery truck Sad

It obviously could be something catastrophic like theTC, but equally could be an oil cooler pipe loose or split. You'll know soon enough! Wishing you well though.

hi well thankyou for the reply im hoping its just a pipe blown off and thrown oil down amd around the converter as there is gbx oil dropped down from above the tc,i was foing to sell it soon too as i dont use the car much and seemed a waste for it to sit there

fluid gearbox

hi all well update to being broken down fluid everywhere underneath the car turns out it was a breather hose from the gearbox that had solit from fatigue,,phew!! but now i need a gearbox inhibitor switch has anyone got any ideas where i can get one cheap as brand new is over £360
