Running the FF on this size of tyre

Looking at Alloys on the bay just now , previously i ran with a set of 275 x 45 x 20's , but the set i am looking at has 275/40 ZR20 106Y EXTRA LOAD does anyone on here run with this size on a FF…

I know they are for the Sport and have the lower profile , but i cannot find any decent OEM 20" alloys just now

i've seen a few fullfats with these size tyres on and they do look a bit to small in relation to the car..and you'll find the speedo will be out as well mick..

I've got 275/45 20's on my L322 and 275/40 20's on the P38 4.6 turbo all Kumho KL12, handling and ride comfort seem ok on both to me.

275/60/20 are 9.8% (!) bigger diameter

http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator.htm

285/55/20 (another Cooper Zeon size) is 3.9% larger (so the speedo will probably be spot on)

275/45/20 are pretty much spot on (-1%) so your speedo will over-read a touch more than it does at the moment.

I have got 295/40/20 on mine and I used that link and it said 19mm different on the 255. But are the 255 the same diameter as the standard 18 in wheels as I have one as a spare and I'm not sure if I could use it if I had a puncture?

We find the 275/45x20 about spot on for FFRR, this would be our advice and most are 110 load rating. Thumbs Up Andy....
