On my last FF the sensors had a mind of their own now and then. I'd get the long tone, sometimes it would go on and on and then peter out as if it were disappearing down a tunnel.

So this behaviour is normal, then... thanks guys! I've deliberately held off from posting a response for fear of jinxing the things and stopping them working again, but I had the car out again today and the sensors both front and rear were working fine all day. So clearly the RR Gremlins have been at work.

Ill bet you there is a broken wire in the system that when going over the right bump at the right speed brings up the fault and visa versa...

Great - thanks Craig! I've seen references on here to listening for the clicking, but I didn't know what was meant and I didn't like to ask. But now you've explained it all, I can check the sensors for myself next time they stop working. Cheers. |

Also another easy check if they stop working if you have trailer electrics plug a trailer light board in and if the front sensors come on and work as they should you know if the problem is the front or back as the trailer light board switches the rear sensors off this is what happens with mine my sensors dont work normally just buzzing and flashing button but when i tow the fronts work perfect and the button is constant lit up but i know that one of the sensors is faulty at the rear as i had it checked onto no6 Range Rover
