Sport to Full Fat?

Hi fellas,

I have a RRsport at the moment and been on the RRSport forum fairly recently, posting about maybe moving away from LR. I've had Jaguars, BMW's etc and recently tried a Jaguar for a few days, it looked good on the road and in the brochure but when it came to it I just can't go back to a "car".

Although I do think it is time for the sport to go, I've had it for 2 years now and there are a few niggles really starting to get at me. I've always liked the ffrr and now think its the right time to take the plunge, I tested a TDV8 vogue, very nice. At one time I was fairly concerned about the fuel economy but now It probably doesnt matter so much.

Funds are not endless but I think I should be able to get an 07/57 Vogue, looked at the vogue SE but I'm not sure that I'd get the value out of the bits and pieces.

I've got my eye on one at the moment, buckingham with ivory interior, not my ideal combination and I'm hesitating on Ivory so any views on it welcome, personal taste I know! Also the prices seem quite varied on this age range so its difficult to know where to pitch, what factor do you think affects the price most? age, mileage, ???? I'm seeing prices from £33k to over £40K for 07/57 vogue

Is there anything I should particularly ask when I go to the dealer.

thanks

Dexter

Hello and welcome!

You will find lots of people here who jumped ship to an RRS only to return to FFRR such as myself.

My first TD6 had the ivory leather, it looked great but required constant cleaning as I wear Jeans 24/7. Since then I've always stuck to black leather Thumbs Up '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto for the Mrs

Using the works Fiesta 1.6 TDCI Sport Van - CHROME FREE THOUGH

Searching for a nice E63 AMG or S8 V10 to replace my "wonky" TDV8

Thanks,

the motor I was looking at is sold now anyway, so I'll have to wait and see what combo comes up next. I know what you mean about the cleaning aspect my sport is blaqk leather and it looks good.

Will keep looking though Smile

Have a look at the Approved Used vehicles

http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/richexperience

Most vehicles come with a 12 month warranty and a 30 day exchange policy.

If you are down south, I would definitely recommend Beadles of Sidcup. Give them a call and tell them what you are looking for. They may have one coming in meeting your specification.

There is this one?

Hey thanks,

I'm still a bit dissapointed at travelling to see the car today and on arrival at the dealer being told it had just been sold - ahh!! he might have said someone else was interested though!! Only 10,000 miles on a 57 plate as well and of course when you try and look again there's nothing there that seems to fit the bill - pyscological I suppose. Ah well, best to have a few beers tonight and start looking again over the weekend.
