Bluetooth phone book & nav input on the move

Hi Everyone

I have had my FFRR at the dealer for the last few days trying to sort these (amongst other things) out.

Mine is a early 06MY car and I've got the latest 09/10 firmware software for the satnav (but running 05 disc - don't ask).

They've told me that they've updated the firmware for the bluetooth but it's exactly the same as before - i.e. no phonebook transfer

and

they've said they can't enable nav input on the move on my car!

ARRGHH - anyone got any advice / help on these items? Should I try a different dealer?! FFRR TD6 06MY. Cairns Blue, Blue Hide. LR 7 Spoke 20" Wheels, S/C Grill and Vents. Privacy Glass and Side Steps

Its worth phoning a different dealer for sure.

I checked mine after we spokke about Nav on the move on Sunday and it looks like I can now do this. But, BT phonebook still not coming across, no change there then. I get by using the voice dialing, store a load of your most used numbers with a voice command then BT just uses whatever phone you have, good for outgoing, no better for inbound calls of course.

have you got PTI ready for a cradle in your car? Discovery 4 HSE

Yes, they can upgrade, via some sort of software CD the phone module so that it can accept the phonebook.
You must be pretty nice to the dealer so that they won't charge you. Don't know if it works on 2005's. I think it starts on 2006's

That upgrade used to be a charged option. If you already have, congrats...
And more, you can also navigate through it using the steering commands.

The only drawback, at least on my car, is that the voice commands sometimes don't work. But then again, neither does the phonebook works very well. It has a mind of its own....
