Hallo, first change the sensor in the reservoir, but I believe that the pressure power of your compressor is not strong enough for the 13,7 bar that are needed for the correct teamplay of ECU, sensor and compressor..., you have the choice of a new one or a repairing...

Think it's sat at access height now. Feels a lot firmer, that's for sure. Was hoping I could disconnect the battery for a bit and that would clear it. Guess not... Meerbusch, what makes you think it's the compressor? And where would I find the reservoir to change the sensor? I'm guessing it's a pressure sensor you're meaning? 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten... |

Hallo misteralz, the reservoir is under the back door on your driver-site (RHD?), you can see the little pressure-sensor with a lamp, you must dismount a plasticbody under the right side ot the car, but be carefull by let out the air, therefore you must open a ventil in the front at the connector. The compressor is at the most 2002-2005 lazy, I had the same problems two years ago, and noone could help me, every week to the dealer for clearing faults, than I bought a used RSW All comms and could find the mistakes step by step. today even the dealers ask me....

Cool, thanks for that. Not keen on dumping all the air out of it if the compressor is shagged afterall...

Okay. Is there a way of replacing that sensor without dumping all the air in case it is the compressor that's shagged? 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten... |

. Next question - is there any way of testing the compressor? Don't want to dump all the air and have an undriveable car given it's the only one we have that can cope with all the family duties. 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten... |

YES, you must disconnect your battery, than disconnect your compressor electric cable under your fifth wheel, and give 12V + and - to red and brown, you will hear him running, than connect your compressorcable, and than your battery again (because, after fitting is no sign in your display: Airsuspens.inactiv)

I changed my pressure sensor last winter, when removed it doesn’t drop the air out of the bags in each corner only out of the reservoir due to the non return valve in the valve block front and rear, not sure this helps to test the compressor though |

Helpful posts both, thank you. Meerbusch, are you saying that disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it will clear the fault in the dash display? Because I think I've found the problem - one of the little plastic arms on the height sensor connected to the driver's side front wishbone had snapped. I'll cable tie it back together for now... 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten... |

You can only clear the faults with GAP, RSW allComms or at the BMW or Landrover Dealer. The disconnecting of the battery is only BEFORE working at the suspension, because after disconnecting electric-parts with cables, you have the problem of the messages, with disconnected battery the system don´t notice any repairs or changes. (Oh my english...)
