Oh well, this just gets added to the to do list:
Starting: will order cps on Monday
Servotronic valve ( existing mechanic reluctant incase the car ends up stuck on his ramp)
Handbrake shoes : needed for MOT by the 28 th
Just bought discs & pads all round+ sensor wires
Rear bushes will need done soon

The car will be almost brand new by the time I get through, at least I have most of the parts already Big Cry

Oh and my rear speakers don't work at all, bm54 to be sorted as well.

Will it ever end, I have never spent so much money on car maintenance.

The servotronic valve bolts can be a bit of a pain to get out, but if care is taken and plenty penetrating fluid applied for a couple of days before they should come out without too much bother.

Might be as well doing the rear bushes whilst the rear discs, pads and handbrake is being done, saves stripping the rear hubs down again

Aye I Have been having these thoughts recently, couple of quid to some jakeys would suffice also......

Are the rear bushes expensive & how many are there ?

1 x rose bush and 1 x lower bush

Cool, pretty cheap in comparison to what I've spent recently. Be as well getting them in stock before everything else is done !

A wee update, decided to find a knowledgeable Indy,as getting fed up throwing parts at the car. Recommended by a client to talk with Strathearn Engineering in Aberuthven. So I had some time this afternoon & had a wee drive out, yep still got starting problems, cps should be with me tomorrow. The man at strathearn sounded very knowledgeable and could book me in for next week any time I liked, he would keep the car overnight as the car starts ok 'ish when cold & crap when hot. Good labour rates @£38 per hour. He suggested not fitting the cps so he can run laptop & take data to try & find the exact cause of my issues, so if it isn't the cps, I can send it back to Dan.
On the way home going from broxden up to m90 , bong, fuel inj. system error message , car running really rough, more tractor like, no acceleration unless kicked down!
I bet when I try it later on it will run sweet as.
I have now had enough! Big Cry

Oh well, that's the motor been with Strathearn Engineering since yesterday, just called them, you have 1 faulty injector with another 3 showing incorrect values Shocked We would recommend fitting a full set Shocked Shocked How much is that then , £328.16 +vat per injector + 4 hours labour! So that's approx. £2.5k + whatever they charge for diagnosis when the car realistically is worth say £7.5k on a good day, nice!
Must call Dan!

Rolling with laughter £3500 maybe.....
Been pricing injectors this evening , can get oem for approx £ 140 + vat , Bosch . Will talk to local injector specialist tomorrow for refurb cost as well .with the amount i've spent this year, would have been not too far away from upgrading to a newer one Big Cry
