Hi,

Does anyone know how I remove the ashtray on my 2010 FFRR?
The previous owner has used it as somewhere to store coins and some have slipped underneath and are jamming the flap.
LR wanted £100 to sort so I am guessing it isn't a straight forward job.
Have searched everywhere but can't find any info.

That happened to mine can be a bit tricky to get it open so is there no give and take on the actual flap

I can just about get the ashtray open but it doesn't give any access to the offending coins which seem to be under the ashtray inside the actual centre console.
If you look at the the picture, you can see there is a big gap at the bottom of the ashtray, if you look in there you can see the offending coins.

This is what i used , it is one of the wife's nail filing sandpaper stick things , that are about 7 inches long and i put it down where the gap is you are talking about and tried for a good few minutes to try and dislodge the coins back towards the back seats so to speak ….

Meant to add if you do manage to get the flap vertical the top cover slides off if you pull it towards you up the way

Got it vertical and removed the front as you showed and after about an hour manged to remove £2 in small change!
