Just got my car back from the bodyshop having had the upper tailgate swapped and painted, to find that the horizontal grey moulding above the number plate is a different colour to the Range Rover and Vogue lettering.

A quick call to my local Land Rover dealer resulted in me being told that you can't get the darker matt brunel grey colour anymore, its more of a gloss grey, which looks as near as damn it silver when fitted.

Its for cars 2005 onwards I am told.

So, if you have an early car and have work done on the upper tailgate, keep the original trim.

Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Or get a black one...?
