If its an 04 you will have the wrong plug for sure... You will need to change the big one for two smaller ones either via a connector cable or cut the one off you have and re-wire the early plugs back on...

As a poss alternative, not sure exactly what you are looking to do, but Baris on here offers a reasonably priced upgrade to digital TV, using the analog unit in the car, that adds usb connection, mp3 and can also add ipod stuff to the radio as part of a seperate amp upgrade.....

As mjdronfield said just follow the instructions on the rover upgrade site. Just make sure that when you put it all back together you check that the glovebox opener cable is connected properly. It's not much fun having a glovebox that won't open, as I found out. Thank god for wire coathangers! And for the 10 pin to 6 pin and 3 pin conversion, I went to a scrapyard and cut them out of the boot of a 3 series then paid £1 for the privelege. Re-pinning takes just ten minutes and then the Intravee is ready to go! |

Thanks guys, some useful info there. In essence all I want to do is have an ipod hardwired in to the car and controlled through the head unit. I though about bluetooth streaming from my phone but I struggle with the battery life anyway so figured if I use my spare ipod it will always be there.
