L322 in bodyshop........Peugeot 107 loan car........

My beloved 2003 Vogue has finally gone to a bodyshop in Stafford this morning, to have the rear bumper tidied up, the upper tailgate replaced and the rear quarter panels resprayed...........its about 60 miles from my home in Chesterfield and I have a 61 plate Peugeot 107 1.0 petrol as a loan car........

Just done the trip back home, and it's like going from A to B in a spin dryer.

I put £20 of petrol in it, and it pretty much filled the tank from about a quarter full, and the led bar gauge thingy has not changed during the trip back, so it runs on a sniff of fuel.

My leg aches a bit, its got "keep fit" gears so you cannot relax, the wheelbase is that short you know whether they used mat or silk paint to do the road markings the ride is so jiggly and unforgiving.........,

The back of the rear side doors are pretty much at the back of the car, Censored all boot.......and no air con.....

Its like driving round sat on the floor.......you look across at lorries and all you can see are wheel nuts spinning round.

Other cars tailgate you, and you get no respect on the road.

Not brave enough to go on a motorway yet...........

To be fair, its probably OK for what it does, but it cost new pretty much what I had to pay to swap to the Td6 after trading in my Td5............and I am happy I chose the L322.

I will not get it back soon enough.

That said, the alternative to the courtesy car 107 was walking, so I shall stop complaining about it now !!

Its motoring - but not as we know it.

Mark

One of my mates took his 2010 tdv8 vogue in for some warranty work at range rover, and got a ford focus as a curtesy car

You would kind of hope after spending 70k on a car would would get something of similar quality back

But as you say, it's better than walking! Very Happy

I should have had my Rangie back last Thursday, and I'm now due to get it back tomorrow, so am really missing it now.

I do keep thinking the fuel gauge is broken on the 107, as it doesn't seem to move.........

Off to the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon on Wednesday, and the Land Rover Show at Billing Aquadrome on Saturday, so I'd better get it back !! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
