2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Cairns Blue
TG last sunday

Really enjoyed watching TG - just watched it on iplayer.

Clarkson really likes RRs doesn't he!

Ok, so he says he'd rather have the TDV8 rather than the S/C - I don't believe him, but i suspect he's thinking of it being a daily workhorse rather than 'something special' for a drive when it's nice.

The white on the S/C test car they had didn't do anything for me personally, but it's far nicer than either of the other two choices.

I saw that he was able to view the cameras whilst driving too - is that actually allowed on teh 2010 models then? FFRR TD6 06MY. Cairns Blue, Blue Hide. LR 7 Spoke 20" Wheels, S/C Grill and Vents. Privacy Glass and Side Steps

Yep, the cameras work on the move. We used them during my LR Offroad experience to drive up a narrow ramp which the car just fitted on. The wing mirror cameras worked a treat, we had the screen split half and half on the display (left camera on one side and the right on the other) so that we could watch both sides of the car at the same time. The zoom and wide angle display on the front camera was also pretty impressive. Steve

Was that @ Skipton on the ramp near the road?

Yes, it was at Skipton , and I think it was visible from the main road. Great day out. Highlight was driving new FFRR at @60-65mph down a sloped wet & slightly muddy field without traction etc turned on then absolutely losing it by doing a voilent swerve out and back (as if avoiding a car that had braked suddenly on the motorway). Then went into a 360 degree spin (I'm not exaggerating this) and then backward down the field. We went to the top again and did it once more with all the driver aids turned on and I have to say, I could not believe how well it handled the same situation with very little fuss. The only minus was that it was my mate I took along who got to do this particular exercise!!! Steve

I came down a snowy hill without DSC on (I'd turned it off to get up the hill, but forgot to turn it back on) and ended up pirouetting down a one car wide lane. How I didn't hit the banks I don't know, literally I don't know because my eyes were closed!

However, going down with it turned on the next time was completely uneventful!
