No lights around the number plate, FOUR square white lights on the rear pillars. Those lights are not disguised at all, front OR rear, they are the finished article. They are pug-ugly. Land Rover Addict

If you want to buy outright, the cheapest way at the moment is to re-mortgage as long as there are no fees to repay early, then make overpayments to clear it in 3, 4 or 5 years.
Just depends if you have enough money in your current property to do so. You can't take out a fresh mortgage as that's only for buying a house.

Most finance car loans or leasing are way too expensive on interest payments.

As an example If your mortgage is on say 4%, borrrow an extra £50K, pay off in 3 years = £1476.20 per month
You pay less than 3K interest over the term (providing the interest rate doesn't go up)
Most ordinary car loans are at least double that !

Still a lot to fork out every month though and a new one is likely to be 80 - 90K, so you'll need a hefty deposit on top of a very big loan Sad

yeah, it's a pipe dream. I bought a brand new RRS SC when they came out in 2005 for cash and in 18 months and 30,000 miles I lost £20K. Ouch.

I don't think I will do it ever again, just losing 20% VAT is heart braking enough, but the first 2 years in a RR's life are where it's value drops like a stone the most, then it slows down.

I'll have to stick to 2-3yr old cars I think. Discovery 4 HSE

If you bought outright for cash - you're not in negative equity.

That only happens if the asset purchased is worth less than you OWE on It.
