When I looked into this its not a legal requirement, but is recommended to protect the head in case you fall off.

I never did as a kid, except when I was doing stunts on my BMX! Reformed

Mick the best thing to do is get a helmet with the front apron/spoiler and wear some wrap around sunglasses.

You may not look super cool/trendy/whatever, but having experienced coming off a bike a fair few times, £30-50 on a good helmet was well worth it.

The glass's are for the pure fact that if you do it on the road, even in the dry stuff gets flicked up and normal glass's that dont wrap around let the crud into your eyes. and when it rains its great to keep your eyes dry, even in the torrential stuff manchester had last week i got home dripping wet through my shorts, shirt, socks, shoes, boxees and still my eyes were dry as a bone Very Happy

Dont forget some fingerless gloves to save your palms from some agro as well.

Driving the FF im sure you've seen the state that some licence 'holders' drive and think is right so do you really want to chance it??

And a 33" waist?!!? i sued to be 28 but am now 30.... corona is just so good when lead upto by proseco Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Dan i put the amount horses eat to shame Smile

I just think if im going to be dead in 5 years as the organs slowly collapse i may as well enjoy the food i can now even though i hardly drink....

Lunch for example,,
2 sandwichs,
3 bars of chocolate
2 scones
packet of crisps
muller chocolate corner yog,
apple
slice of cake.
Never mind the pack of oreos or maryland cookies i snack through during the day Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Nobody wears them on the Boris bikes here in London so it seems that the Government are promoting dangerous riding. It also does not seem to be a requirement that you know the rules of the road or even how to ride a bike judging by the dangerous riding I have seen so far.

Won't be long before the fatalities mount up, especially since most of the 'recently arrived in the country' drivers in town don't know how to drive a car either.

Chopper? BMX? Pah!!

I has a Raleigh Grifter. Yeah, baby!!

But always wanted a Chopper as that T-bar shifter was so American muscle car.

Hats.... I like the wind in my hair and the breeze and not getting sweaty hair.

BUT, I also like my noddle in one piece and did wear one of these style-disgracers when I had my Trek. It's one of the reasons I like running so much.

On the weight issue. I used to have a 34" waist which, for my height and build, was very good indeed. And I ate what I liked. But I ballononed a few years ago to 42" and worked hard to get that back down again to 36". But I have to really watch my intake - salads, fruit and lots of water. Few carbs helps. If i eat a few cakes, it takes me a week to shift the effect.

I so envy anyone who can eat what they like without worry. You b*****ds!! Laughing Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.
