United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Bournville
L405 Pricing

Has anyone seen any recent info on the pricing for the L405 ?
There was a lot of early speculation that the price would go up a fair bit but looking at the pics that are coming out I can’t see anything that warrants a significant price hike ? Ok it's going to be lighter, faster, more economical etc but what new car isn't an improvement on the outgoing model ? judging by the interior shots there looks to be more component sharing going on too. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

I reckon the base model will only be a few grand more max than a current Westminster. I'd bet on a starting price around £72 to £75K
But, I wouldn't be surprised if the equivelant Autobiography model wasn't 5 to 10K dearer like for like.

Best thing is budget for 100K and you'll get a fine model ! Laughing

I am expecting £130k for an Autobiography, and Lookers have not suggested anything else to me. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE

The Autobiography name will probably just go more upmarket. Or they'll have a standard Autobiography and then an Ultimate Edition.

It is a big hike but have a look at Porsche, a reasonable spec on a base model 911 will set you back >£100k.

I thought the ultimate was a test for the £130k barrier. Even so it is less than £30k more than a fully specced Autobiography. If it is faster/lighter/better mpg I can see them easily justifying the hike in price. Big Cry *Gone* Discovery3 HSE

I don't know how many ultimate editions they made, but going by this website http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/land_rove...ate_tdv8_a
only 3 diesels & 6 petrols were registered in 2011 !!

If they are planning on trying to sell at that price, then they must only be interested in exporting Sad
Obviously the UK has a very, very small number of customers for such a car Whistle

In comparison about 1000 standard Autobiographies TDV8's were licenced for road tax.
So, I doubt JLR will want to loose those 1000 sales of new ones.......

Guess these cars need to be exported to the "new economies" since Europe is on the verge of exploding. Take Italy for example, most people are trying to get rid of their luxury cars because they don't want to risk of having a fiscal investigation by the authority. Even some cars that have been ordered are not been picked up by their customers, preferring to loose the down payment.
