BMW dsp to FFRR

Ok so ive got my hands on a Lear DSP to replace my dead unit, the replacement is from a X5 the only differance being HW03 SW04 as oposed to HW05 SW05. What is the differance, also will it need coding??

hi its a newer unit with a later software version, did you have DSP before.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
