Here's a though to get round the premium increase - tell the robbing b'stards you leave all your doors unlocked all night as you have nothing valuable to hide, and by leaving the doors unlocked Johnny Scumbag can take a look for himself without doing any damage! Now that's an idea.

I just wanted to put this in perspective....the car is a BMW 2011 touring and for SWMBO to insure it for the year is £220 without the film or £370 a year with the film!!!!

England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

I'm with Admiral and I called them to see what the premium rise would be if I changed the front end of the car to the 2010 version. I said I was going to put on the newer Range Rover bumper, grill and lights. She asked if they were Land Rover parts, I said yes and she gave me a premium increase price of just £28. I am sure if I had worded it differently such as putting on a facelift body 2010 body kit she would have added another digit at least.

Maybe it depends on the insurance company, some of them really milk the options. Tom

As far as I was aware, the tinted rear glass on my Vogue has been on since it left the factory, and is therefore not an optional extra or modification... Whistle
