GPS has line through it

Hi all

The GPS box on my touch screen has a l line through it and the Sat Nav does not know where it is, please help.

take the disc out and reload, or do a battery disconnection....might help. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan

Popped the disc out and back in now i have line through the GPS and TMC. If I disconnect the battery do I have to do the sequence with the jump lead etc again.

TMC might just be you are out of range of a suitable Radio station obviously for the GPS bit to function you need to have sight of the sky. Both these problems could be caused simply by location I.e. in a garage. Geoff

Re-tune the tmc station should sort out the TMC issue, my car regularly selects Heart FM for the tmc service, probably because Heart FM are abusing the TMC system.

Okay, TMC now sorted but after battery disconnection etc still have a line through the GPS, any other ideas please.

All connections look fine, as far as I can see. The GPS was definitely working before the battery was changed. The manual does state that a battery disconnection can cause this fault but it doesn't tell you what to do about it. Big Cry
