Now you have got me thinking!! It was a X5 52 plate. I fitted a remote switch from maplins which enabled me to activate it from inside my house. Im not sure if it had the timer on the dashboard ![]() |

I think that's just the heater for the coolant and block. I'm looking for a cabin heating option ie where the fans come on... |

it was an option on the BMW's i think. It was a Webasto aux heater which was fitted to the cars with the 3.0 diesel, it was fitted as an engine heater as standard but could be upspecced to a cabin heater at mfr.

The X5 and the E39 are more or less the same as a RR electronically (at least the early L322 and E53 are). So the same procedure to activating the park-heat function goes for BMWs as for RRs. The IIDTool will even do this on an X5... |
