My drivers door handle cable snapped which meant it would only open from the inside.
I replaced the broken cable and to do so I removed the drivers door handle. Put everything back in place, however the door handle opens from both the inside and outside. However, when I lock the car and then go to open the door neither handle will work. Eventually after inserting the key on the outside and unlocking and locking the car a number of times, it will then open from both the inside and outside.

It's acting when it won't open as if it's still locked.

Where do you guys think the problem is?

Open the door and insert a screwdriver into the latch to close it (as if the doors shut) That way you can lock/unlock it without risk of it locking/sticking in the shut position...

Take the door card off and check your electrical connections... And at least with the card off and the latch "erm latched" you can see what is moving or not sir

So I went back at the handle this morning and followed your advice. (Placing a Screw driver in the lock to examine what was happening)

It turned out that the lock needed adjusting. I did this by removing the grub nearest the lock and adjusting the hex bolt within it. The lock was not moving enough to release the lock.

It's working perfectly now.
