Maximum safe speed in this weather

Slightly misleading title, but I thoroughly cleaned my car and then drove it a couple of hundred miles. Imagine my annoyance when I see this morning that the front end is covered with dead splattered flys!

What is the max speed you can drive to avoid this irritation - it clearly isn'y 90mph Very Happy Geoff

You think flies are bad in this country - check out the front of the Corvette I hired in Florida after driving through a swarm! Can't remember what kind of flies they are, but a) they make a horrific noise when they splatter and b) I was told by the locals to wash them off pretty sharpish as their blood is acidic and pits paintwork! Even though it was a hire car I had to find a jet wash....couldn't ruin the Bananamobile! Cool

In Florida, they're called "palmetto bugs".
The rest of us call them cockroaches.
