I spent this weekend helping my friend detail his BMW 6 series, I owed him a day after he helped move my front path a few weeks ago. I think I got the better deal as I enjoy car detailing and I hate hard labour.

First stage is applying the correction compound using a DA machine polisher and microfiber correct pad, then the 2nd stage is applying the finishing wax, again using the DA machine polisher but using the finishing pad.

I had a fully loaded 650i before I got my dog. Absolutely LOVED it. I came to the 650 from a 911 (997 C2S) but when I started running my own business I needed to economise. I was so in love with the Porker that I expected the 6 series to be a massive disappointment and bought it as a compromise. How wrong I was! I LOVED it. It sounded epic, went like stink, had every toy imaginable on it - and I really like the fact that the looks aren't like every other exec barge. It was faultless too. And the best bit was the price....they're SUCH good value now. I miss the 911 for pure driving pleasure, but I always felt happier about owning the 6 series as it was relatively such a bargain. If you're thinking about one, stop thinking and buy one. My vote would always be for the 650i. Both the oil burners are great cars...but once you've heard the soundtrack in the 650 your decision will be made for you. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
