Once a suitable car is found, I'll be in the market for one but can I clarify a couple of things first as I assume the LR part number is actually a Dension 500 or similar ?

1. will I get full iPod connectivity for the whole content or as limited playlist
2. do LR recommend the feed going into cubby or centre box ?

Hi, The LR kit is essentially a re-badged Dension 500 MOST

With it connected you get the switch (CD Changer/iPod) I find that you need to press the reset button when you switch but it's not a problem (bent paperclip in the glovebox)

It imitates the 6 disc changer vis: "disc" 1-5 are the first 5 playlists on your device and the 6th is "all"

You get full steering wheel controls and track name/Artist.

I got it from eBay (actually from a forum member here who was a massive help)

You can't buy the LR version of the iPod kit from anywhere other than LR.

There's no aftermarket Dension 500 which works in the RR
