Towbar armature fitting

Just thought I would write a wee bit on the ability to fit 2002- 2005 assembly easily to a 2006 model onwards using you own cars exhaust brackets from the dummy arms you have to remove.

here is the pic of the armature

the L shaped brackets are only tag welded on the dummy arms, these come off and bolt onto the new armature, this self aligns with the exhaust brackets which have grooves to make it all line up correctly.

means the older amature can be bought cheaper and save you a bit of cash!!

always nice to save a bit somewhere these days Thumbs Up Thumbs Up :thumbsup:

Yes ive done this with mine it wasnt planned tho but yes i just cut them off the dummy mount things and bolted them up wth the new armature bit of black spray paint and job was a good un they have been on for over 3 years and lots of towing never had a problem onto no6 Range Rover
