Mazda Eunos - Lights On Buzzer | |
Having recently had to rescue SWMBO from her car park at work with a flat battery for the 5th time, decided something had to be done.
Pop up headlights are all well and good, but if you don't turn off the sidelights you go flat by the end of the working day. The Eunos (MX5 Mk1) doesn't come with a buzzer/chime, but you can fit one by wiring up a buzzer to the engine fuse and the sidelights fuse. Fortunately, these are next to each other in the drivers footwell. The buzzer was stolen from a soil moisture testing gizmo made by my son at school several years ago (bad dad!) but can be had for £2 from Maplins. Simply stick the wires into the fuseholders.
Now when engine is on, no buzzing, as soon as engine is turned off buzz buzz buzz.
One of the simpler mods I have done on any car
