Hi there since owning my 2006 4.2 super charger it has had an annoying chirp from the engine bay at around 3500rpm as the supercharger starts to whine.
if you keep your foot down it goes away but you can make it come back if you feather the throttle.
I have had both belts and tensioners replaced to no avail!
A friend of mine suggested that it may be some kindof diaphram noise from a conponent at the drivers side front of the engine, that has something to do with oil vapour?? Any ideas what he is talking about?
I read somewhwere that the idler pulleys are prone to failure! which idler pulley? the aux or the super charger belt ones?
Any help would be appreciated.
