Driving in access mode- suspension problem

So today I got warning saying suspension lowered, and none of the suspension switches would work but did light up.

I drove it anyways as the car did raise when I sped up, so figured it a battery issue causing electrical gremlin.

Then later none of the suspension lights work, no warnings and cannot get out of access mode even when I drive on motorway it stayed lowered. It drove grand.

So used my iid to re enable eas, didn't work.

Question:-

Will driving it in access mode (for time being) be ok for me, as it had no problems driving on the motorway and going over ramps?

Please tell me this is just a battery issue, i get errors on iid lost comm with steering sensor.

Hi Lema,
Please check if you've accidentally gone into 'Build Mode'...

Driving in access mode is not really to be recommended as you don't have the necessary suspension travel. Especially at motorway speeds. A sharp dip in the road or a pothole can send you and your RR flying - and out of control.Shocked

That said, driving in access will not damage your RR per se. But if you bottom the vehicle on the road surface you can obviously cause damage and bottoming your suspension on the bump stop violently can cause damage as well.

Lost comms are relatively common errors and usually harmless. You do want to check and see if the fault returns (immediately) after you clear it.

Is that the only fault you have?

cheers,

It's working now fine, surprise surprise.

I used the iid to test the valves and it just starting working again. Thumbs Up
