Belt removal tools?

I've been suffering an intermittent rattle for a little while, that seams to be related to the engine noise, but not drive.

Current thinking is that is a bearing going in either the alternator, waterpump, fan or guide pulley. Thinking that to diagnose further, i'm going to need to get the belt off, but recon that needs a special belt removal tool.

Couple of questions -

Are any of these likley sources?
Anywhere i can get a belt removal tool\costs (Dan??)

Have a 2005 TD6.

Many thanks,

It could well be along those lines then - thanks for the linky.

Did you have to use anything special to get the belt off the idling pulleys? __________________

No special tools required, just use a spanner to release the tension and slip the belt off
